Cinema Operator CGV (BLTZ) Turns Loss into Profit, Here's Why
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The cinema network operator CGV, PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ), recorded improved performance with a profit in 2025, reversing the loss position from the previous year.
Referring to the latest financial report cited from the Indonesia Stock Exchange disclosure, the profit attributable to the parent entity in 2025 was recorded at Rp60.84 billion. Meanwhile, in 2024, the company booked a loss of Rp71.27 billion.
From the main performance side, the company did not record a significant surge capable of turning the loss into profit. Company revenue rose 7.69% year-on-year to Rp1.26 trillion, and the cost of goods sold also increased 3.94% year-on-year to Rp697.11 billion. As a result, gross profit rose 11.59% year-on-year to Rp560.79 billion.
The company’s revenue was contributed by the cinema segment at Rp768.96 billion. Contribution from the food and beverage segment was Rp406.66 billion, as well as events and advertising Rp82.28 billion.
In 2024, the company reported a loss caused by an income tax expense of Rp84.31 billion. Last year, the income tax expense shrank to Rp18.74 billion.
The high 2024 income tax expense was mainly due to deferred tax assets that could not be used, amounting to Rp75.68 billion.
In terms of capital, as of December 2025, the company recorded assets of Rp1.88 trillion, up from the period of 31 December 2024 with an acquisition of Rp1.84 trillion.
The company’s liabilities and equity were recorded at Rp1.43 trillion and Rp450.73 billion, respectively.
