Cimahi Transportation Authority Inspects All Free Mudik Buses for Lebaran 2026; Deputy Mayor Reveals Results
All bus fleets designated for free Lebaran mudik (holiday travel) in Cimahi, West Java, underwent inspection on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The inspections were conducted to ensure the vehicles transporting travellers are in safe and roadworthy condition.
The inspection, or ramp check, took place at the Motor Vehicle Testing Unit (PKB) of the Cimahi Transportation Department. Inspectors examined all aspects of bus roadworthiness, from engine systems, braking mechanisms, lighting, and other components. Administrative documentation was also thoroughly reviewed.
“Alhamdulillah today we are conducting the ramp check process. This ramp check is part of the procedure or mechanism for vehicles to be declared fit or unfit for use, especially during the mudik period,” said Cimahi Deputy Mayor Adhitia Yudisthira following the inspection.
According to the results, all bus fleets designated for free Lebaran mudik are in roadworthy condition. A total of 15 buses will be used to transport approximately 720,000 registered Cimahi residents who are participating in the free mudik programme, with departure scheduled for 18 March.
