Cimahi Student Makes First ID Card at Public Service Mall During Long Holiday
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIMAHI – Administrative services for population matters at the Public Service Mall (MPP) in Cimahi City, West Java, remained open during the long Ascension of Jesus Christ holiday on 14 May 2026, followed by a public holiday on 15 May 2026. The services on this holiday were crowded with residents of Cimahi City.
As observed by Republika on Friday (15/5/2026) at the Cimahi City MPP, people were queuing to be served for various population administration matters. Some were creating Electronic Identity Cards (KTP-el), Family Cards (KK), and so on.
One of them was Syafitri Dewi (17), a high school student who used the holiday to create her KTP-el. She said that the opening of services during the holiday was very helpful and convenient amidst her busy school schedule.
“Yes, I’m making my first ID card. On regular days, after school, I finish at 2 pm, so it’s already too late. Thank goodness, it’s open on this holiday, so I can just do it,” said Dewi.
She came in the morning with a friend who was also going to make a KTP-el. After submitting the required documents, Dewi finally underwent the recording process as part of the process for printing her KTP-el.
“Thank goodness, the service was fast and good. I’ve already had the recording done, and they said that my first KTP-el will be ready soon,” she said.
