The Cimahi Police Force destroyed evidence consisting of alcoholic beverages, narcotics, certain potent drugs (OKT), and modified ‘brong’ exhaust pipes on Wednesday (2/9/2026). This destruction serves as a form of commitment by authorities alongside the local government to eradicate the circulation of drugs, illegal alcohol, and the use of non-standard exhaust pipes.

The total evidence destroyed included 15,000 bottles of various brands of manufactured alcoholic beverages and 5,770 units of modified exhaust pipes. Additionally, the police destroyed 361.64 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 4,709.23 grams of synthetic tobacco, 38.70 grams of cannabis, and 1.77 grams of ecstasy, along with 8,164 psychotropic pills and 653,321 units of certain potent drugs (OKT).

The destruction process utilised different methods depending on the type of evidence. The modified exhaust pipes were destroyed using chainsaws and heavy machinery such as rollers. Meanwhile, the potent drugs and psychotropic substances were destroyed by being blended until they were unusable. Cannabis and synthetic tobacco were incinerated, while thousands of bottles of alcohol were crushed using heavy equipment.

“Today, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Cimahi City and West Bandung Regency has carried out the destruction of evidence related to the illegal drug trade, as well as non-standard exhaust pipes and illegal alcoholic beverages,” said the Cimahi Police Chief, AKBP Moh. Faruk Rozi.

According to him, the activity also serves as a form of accountability for the authorities in performing their duties and demonstrates a shared commitment to the community. Public security and order remain the priority for the police force.

“This is a collaborative activity between the city government, the regency government, the TNI (National Armed Forces), the Prosecutor’s Office, the Court, and the BNN (National Narcotics Board). The people of Cimahi City and West Bandung can witness our commitment,” he said.

Faruk also invited the public to play an active role by reporting any known drug abuse, illegal alcohol circulation, use of non-standard exhaust pipes, or other criminal acts.

“We are committed, and the entire Forkopimda is committed to following up and taking firm action in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations,” he asserted.

He added that similar destruction activities would be conducted routinely as part of a joint effort to eradicate social ills. Faruk hopes that these steps will strengthen inter-agency synergy and send a clear message that the circulation of drugs, illegal alcohol, and the use of non-standard exhaust pipes will continue to be tackled.

“We will carry this out routinely. Perhaps once every two months or even every month, we will conduct similar destruction activities,” said Faruk.
