REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIMAHI – Civil servants (ASN) in the Cimahi City Government began returning to work on Wednesday (25/3/2026) after the 2026 Eid holiday. However, attendance among the public servants on the first working day did not reach 100 per cent.

“ASN attendance in Cimahi City reached 97.30 per cent. This figure shows a relatively high level of compliance on the first working day after the 2026 Eid holiday,” said Assistant for General Administration, Mochamad Ronny, when contacted.

The Cimahi City Government did not implement work from home (WFH) or work from anywhere (WFA) as recommended by the central government until 27 March 2026. Ronny explained that the policy was not applied because they had not yet received the legal framework, so ASN were instructed to work as usual.

“For this region, there is no regulation yet. So it’s still full, office every day for five working days,” Ronny said.

Meanwhile, the employees who were absent on that day mostly had valid reasons, such as leave and illness. However, Ronny revealed that there were two ASN who were absent without explanation, essentially playing truant. The authorities immediately conducted further investigations.
