Cilok Vendor in Tangerang Allegedly Murdered, Found Dead in Pool of Blood
Cikupa Police Sub-district are currently conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the discovery of the body of a cilok vendor, identified by the initial R (male), inside his rented house in Pasir Gadung Village, Tangerang Regency, on Tuesday (2/6). The victim, known to be from Madura, was found in a gruesome condition, covered in blood and lying face down on the floor. Police strongly suspect that R is a victim of a criminal murder.
Cikupa Police Chief, AKP Syamsul Bahri, confirmed the indications of murder, which are supported by the discovery of sharp-force weapon wounds on the victim’s body. “The results of the current context analysis at the crime scene show blood was found and the victim was lying face down. We are still investigating the exact cause through the visum and autopsy process at Balaraja Regional Hospital,” said Syamsul on Wednesday (3/6).
According to information gathered by the police, the victim, R, had only occupied the rented room for approximately 10 days. It was noted that R did not live alone, but rather with a companion identified by the initial S. Currently, the whereabouts of S are the focus of the police investigation. In addition to questioning several witnesses, officers are also collecting additional evidence, such as CCTV footage from the surrounding area, to map the movement of individuals near the rented house before the body was discovered.
The victim’s family in Madura has been informed of the incident, while the body remains at Balaraja Regional Hospital for further investigation purposes.
