Cilegon Mayor Visits PLN IP Suralaya Power Plant, Emphasises BUMN-Local Government Synergy

The Mayor of Cilegon, Robinsar, visited the power plant owned by PT PLN Indonesia Power’s Suralaya Power Generation Unit (UBP Suralaya). This working visit by the Mayor of Cilegon aimed to strengthen synergy between the local government (pemda) and the electricity sector.

The visit was directly welcomed by the General Manager of UBP Suralaya, Burlian Prasetyo, along with the management team. The meeting discussed synergy between the local government and the state-owned power generation company for the benefit of sustainable regional development.

“In this meeting, we from the local government and PLN Indonesia Power discussed the importance of collaboration in supporting energy resilience as well as sustainable development in Cilegon City,” said Robinsar, in a written statement on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Meanwhile, General Manager of UBP Suralaya, Burlian Prasetyo, conveyed that PLN Indonesia Power UBP Suralaya is always open to synergising with the local government in supporting national energy resilience.

“Through good collaboration, we hope to provide real contributions to regional development and the welfare of the community, especially in Cilegon City,” he stated.

Through this visit, it is hoped that closer relations will be established between the Cilegon City Government and PLN Indonesia Power UBP Suralaya, thereby enabling tangible contributions to the community and the surrounding environment.
