The Cilegon Immigration Office has conducted an information dissemination campaign on immigration services through the Global Citizen of Indonesia (GCI) Residency Permit Service Socialisation to stakeholders and company representatives.

The activity aims to provide comprehensive understanding to business actors regarding innovation in immigration services, particularly permanent residency facilities for foreign nationals with strong connections to Indonesia.

The Global Citizen of Indonesia programme is expected to serve as an instrument supporting increased investment and strengthening diaspora ties with Indonesia.

Riyan Herriandi Putra, Head of the Immigration Residency Permit Subsection at the Cilegon Immigration Office, explained that the Global Citizen of Indonesia programme provides several immigration service conveniences, including the “One Application, All in One” concept covering applications for Limited Stay Visa, ITAS issuance, status transfer to ITAP, unlimited ITAP extension, and re-entry permits in a single service process.

Additionally, residency permits can be issued automatically when visa holders undergo immigration examination at Immigration Inspection Locations (TPI), and are supported by autogate facilities to expedite the arrival process in Indonesia.

Ahmad Taufan, Young Expert Functional Counsellor from the Cilegon City Labour Office, addressed the optimisation of foreign worker (TKA) roles and the importance of training certification legality for local workers.

He emphasised the importance of knowledge transfer mechanisms from foreign workers to Indonesian workers so that local human resource competence can continue developing and be capable of filling strategic positions in the future.

The socialisation activity continued with a discussion session, which formed part of activities to deepen participants’ understanding of the material presented by the speakers.
