Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman Arrested in KPK Sting Operation, Brought to Jakarta

Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has brought Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman to Jakarta following his arrest in a sting operation (OTT) on Friday, 13 March 2026.

“He is en route to the Red and White Building in Jakarta,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto when contacted by journalists on Friday.

Fitroh confirmed that Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya was indeed arrested in the sting operation that day.

“Yes, the Cilacap Regent has been arrested,” he stated.

Fitroh has not yet disclosed the evidence secured by investigators during the covert operation or revealed the specific corruption allegations against the Cilacap Regent.
