Cilacap Regent Collected 515 Million Rupiah for Holiday Allowances for Police and Prosecutors
The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has stated that Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman required approximately 515 million rupiah to distribute holiday allowances (THR) to members of the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda) in Cilacap Regency, Central Java, including police and prosecutors.
“The amount required, after calculation, is approximately 515 million rupiah,” said KPK Deputy for Prosecution and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday, 14 March 2026 evening.
Asep explained that the figure was determined by Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono in collaboration with First Assistant to the Regional Secretariat Sumbowo, Second Assistant to the Regional Secretariat Ferry Adhi Dharma, and Third Assistant to the Regional Secretariat Budi Santoso.
He noted that they calculated this amount because Syamsul Auliya had previously instructed Sadmoko Danardono to collect the THR funds.
“In preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/2026 CE, the Cilacap Regent instructed the Regional Secretary of Cilacap Regency to collect funds to meet THR requirements for personal purposes and external parties. These external parties refer to the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda) within the Cilacap Regency government,” he stated.
Previously, on 13 March 2026, the KPK announced its ninth arrest operation of 2026, which was the third during Ramadan. The operation resulted in the arrest of Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and 26 others, with cash in rupiah being seized.
The KPK stated that the operation was related to suspected receipt of illicit funds from projects within Cilacap Regency government. On 14 March 2026, the KPK named Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono as suspects in a case involving allegations of extortion and illegal receipt of funds within Cilacap Regency government during the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
