Cilacap Regent Arrives at KPK Building Following Corruption Sting Operation

Jakarta — Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman has arrived in Jakarta and is currently undergoing intensive questioning following his arrest in a coordinated sting operation (OTT) conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

“He arrived at the Red and White KPK building at approximately 02:35 Western Indonesia Time,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Saturday.

In addition to Syamsul, Cilacap Regional Secretary (Sekda) Sadmoko Danardono was also transported to Jakarta along with several other regional structural officials.

The KPK has seized cash evidence, though the amount and source of the funds have not yet been disclosed.
