Cilacap Regent and Regional Secretary Detained in KPK Anti-Corruption Sting Over Holiday Allowance Extortion

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has established suspect status and detained Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono in a dawn raid (OTT) operation related to an extortion case involving local government officials for personal holiday allowances (THR) and external Forkopimda funding. The KPK also secured cash evidence totalling Rp610 million.

Both officials underwent examination at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday, 14 March 2026, and were subsequently detained. The investigation centres on allegations that the two officials unlawfully demanded contributions from local government apparatus for their personal benefit and to fund activities of the Regional Leadership Forum (Forkopimda).
