Cilacap Refinery Unit IV (RU IV) of Pertamina Patra Niaga confirms the availability of petrol and diesel in a safe state during the Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah period, as the public’s energy needs rise with the flow of people travelling for mudik and balik Lebaran.

Cilacap (ANTARA) - Pertamina Patra Niaga Refinery Unit IV Cilacap assures the supply of fuel oil in a safe condition during Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah, amid rising energy needs as people undertake mudik and balik Lebaran.

Area Manager Communications, Relations and CSR at Cilacap Refinery, Agustiawan, in Cilacap, Central Java, said on Thursday evening that Pertamina is committed to operating the refinery to its maximum to guarantee energy supply reliability, particularly as mobility increases.

“We are committed to operating the refinery 24 hours non-stop to produce high-quality products in order to provide comfort and reliability of energy for the public. During Ramadhan and Idul Fitri this year, demand for BBM (Bahan Bakar Minyak) rises due to mudik and the balik Lebaran movement,” he said.

He said the production capacity of Kilang Refinery Unit (RU) IV Cilacap is currently 348 thousand barrels per day.

BBM production from Cilacap refinery is distributed to meet the needs of Central Java, West Java, East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara, which are projected to experience higher BBM consumption during Ramadhan to Lebaran.

Regarding the conflict in the Middle East, he said that to date global dynamics have not significantly impacted refinery operations.

Furthermore, the Cilacap Refinery continues to operate normally at maximum capacity.

He said, based on internal calculations, BBM stock availability is assured to meet community needs for about the next month.

Nevertheless, they continue to monitor developments in imported crude oil supply as feedstock for production.

If there is a global supply disruption, he said, that could potentially affect the refinery’s processing capacity.

With the refinery operating optimally and with smooth distribution support, Agustiawan ensures the public can observe Ramadhan and undertake mudik and Lebaran trips with peace of mind, without concerns about BBM availability.
