Cilacap airport expanded

CILACAP, Central Java: The expansion of Tunggulwulung airport
is near completion and is now ready for Fokker-27 passenger
planes.

The airport's runway has been extended from 660 meters to
1,600 meters.

Visiting Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto said
yesterday that a private airline has expressed interest in
opening a Jakarta-Cilacap-Yogyakarta route.

The southern coastal town in Central Java aims to develop
tourism projects to attract more holidaymakers. (pan)
