Cikampek toll road not safe for trucks

JAKARTA: Trucks carrying valuable loads have once again become
the targets of robbers operating on the Cikampek toll road.

Early Friday, six men in a Kijang minivan approached a truck
parked just outside the rest area at Kilometer 60. Truck driver
Eman Sulaeman, 35, and his assistant, Solihin, 29, were sleeping.

The robbers pushed the two into their car and drove off with
the truck, which was loaded with iron bars. Eman and Solihin were
later dumped out of the minivan five kilometers from the scene.

Cikampek police suspect that the robbers are "old hands" who
have yet to be apprehended. The police have reminded all truck
drivers to park their trucks inside the rest area to ensure
security. -- Antara
