Cigasong–Jatiwangi Road Repairs Commence as West Java Provincial Government Allocates Rp12 Billion
Majalengka — Road repairs on the Cigasong–Jatiwangi (Tonjong–Jatiwangi) route in Majalengka Regency, West Java, have commenced. The project, funded by the West Java Provincial Government with Rp12 billion, aims to improve this vital thoroughfare connecting government centres, commercial zones, industrial areas, and daily community activities.
Majalengka Regent Eman Suherman stated that road infrastructure is the top priority for the local government due to its direct impact on various aspects of public life. “Road infrastructure is our top priority as its benefits are directly felt by the community, from economic flow, children’s education access, to daily healthcare services,” he said on Sunday (24 May 2026).
Eman added that the Majalengka Regency Government is accelerating road construction across all areas of the regency, including national, provincial, regency, and village roads. He stressed that such projects require joint oversight from the community and Forkopimda to ensure quality and longevity.
