Cicaheum Terminal in Bandung, West Java has begun welcoming homebound travellers on the seventh day before Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah (Sunday, 15 March 2026). Terminal management has recorded a passenger increase of approximately 30 per cent compared to ordinary days.

“Currently, from our field monitoring, we can already see members of the public who will be travelling home and those arriving from outside the city. Compared with ordinary days, there is an increase of approximately 20 to 30 per cent,” said Asep Supriadi, Head of Cicaheum Type A Terminal, when contacted.

He noted that to date, 59 buses have departed from Cicaheum Terminal carrying approximately 777 homebound passengers for the 2026 Eid season. Meanwhile, 105 bus fleets have arrived at the terminal with 521 passengers on board.

According to Supriadi, compared with the previous year’s homebound travel period, passenger movement this year is estimated to experience an increase. “If we compare with last year, this year there is an increase of approximately 15 per cent,” he said.

He added that most buses departing from Cicaheum Terminal serve inter-city and inter-provincial routes to several areas in Central Java and East Java, such as Semarang, Madura, and several other cities. The terminal has urged homebound travellers not to carry excessive baggage and to safeguard valuables to prevent potential criminal activity whilst at the terminal or during travel.

He also requested bus drivers to comply with traffic regulations and rest if they feel tired or drowsy to ensure safety during the homebound journey.
