Cibubur car-driver attacker identified, police still in pursuit

The Gunungputri Police Sector is still investigating the whereabouts of a man reported to have assaulted a car driver, allegedly triggered by the sound of a horn. The perpetrator has been identified and is still being sought by police. “For the identity, it has been identified. Still in the process of being chased,” said Gunungputri Police Chief Comm. Earlier reports say the clash between car drivers occurred on Jalan Alternatif Cibubur-Cileungsi, Gunungputri, Bogor Regency. The cause was the honk. The clash happened on Sunday 17 May around 00:33 WIB. One driver was beaten due to honking, resulting in a police report. “Yes, the report has been filed. The suspect is still under investigation,” said the Police Chief when asked for confirmation, Monday 18 May.

The moment of the clash was captured on video and went viral on social media. The suspect got out of his vehicle and immediately assaulted the victim and damaged the car. “The reporter saw the suspect get out from his vehicle alone and directly commit assault and damage. The suspect struck the reporter’s lips twice with a clenched right fist, then struck the right jaw twice,” Robby said.

Not only did he hit, the suspect also damaged the victim’s car. He punched the right side mirror three times, broke the right front wiper, kicked the front right door once, and kicked the rear bumper once. “Then, the suspect damaged one unit of the car driven by the reporter by punching the right-side mirror three times, breaking the right front wiper, and also kicking the front-right door once and the rear bumper once,” he added.
