Cianjur (ANTARA) - The Class III Non-TPI Immigration Office of Cianjur Regency, West Java, deported a foreign national (WNA) from Saudi Arabia after it was proven that they had violated the Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) for investors.

The Head of the Class III Non-TPI Immigration Office of Cianjur, Riky Afrimon, in Cianjur, Wednesday, said that the Saudi Arabian national was found to have committed a violation after going through a process of supervision, administrative examination, clarification, and comprehensive investigation.

“The Cianjur Immigration Office has imposed administrative immigration measures in the form of cancellation of the stay permit, deportation, and a proposal to be included in the list of prohibited individuals,” he said.

The imposition of administrative immigration measures is the result of a series of systematic and measurable supervision activities carried out by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Subsection, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Based on the results of field inspections, analysis of documents, and in-depth investigation of the individual concerned and their guarantor, discrepancies were found between the administrative data contained in the stay permit documents and the actual conditions on the ground.

“Based on the provisions of Article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, which gives the Immigration Officer the authority to impose Administrative Immigration Actions against Foreigners who do not comply with laws and regulations,” he said.

The form of action taken refers to Article 75 paragraph 2 letters a and f, namely the cancellation of the stay permit, deportation, and being placed on a watch list, and the enforcement of immigration law is carried out professionally, proportionally, and accountably.

The actions taken still uphold the principle of respect for human rights and the presumption of innocence, and every stay permit issued must be based on correct data, legal activities, and can be accounted for legally and administratively.

“The discrepancy leads to the suspicion of misuse of the investor’s stay permit, so in response to the results of the investigation, strict sanctions were given to the Saudi Arabian national,” he said.
