Chronology of son’s murder of mother in Pamulang, South Tangerang over inheritance dispute
TANGERANG SELATAN - A man identified as I (36) is suspected of murdering his mother, K (64), in the Kedaung area of Pamulang, South Tangerang.
During the attack, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim using bare hands and a clothes iron, causing severe injuries to her head and body.
‘The suspect repeatedly struck the victim’s head and body with a clothes iron,’ said Pamulang Police Chief AKP Galuh Febri Saputra when confirmed via WhatsApp on Monday (25 May 2026).
The suspect reportedly intended to kill the victim a week before the incident and had mentioned his plan to a friend.
‘The suspect had shared his intentions with a friend,’ he added.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (19 May 2026) around 12:30 AM WIB.
‘The suspect pulled the victim’s leg to wake her, then repeatedly punched her head and body with his bare hands,’ said Galuh.
As a result of the blows, the victim fell off the bed.
Seeing the victim fall, the suspect continued the assault by kicking and stamping on her chest.
‘The victim cried for help. The suspect then pressed down on her neck using his foot and a chair to weaken her resistance,’ he explained.
After the victim was incapacitated, the suspect dragged her body back to the room, placed her on the bed, and covered her with a blanket.
Following the attack, the suspect left the house and went to a friend’s house where they were playing cards.
