A student from SMPN 26 Bandung, identified by the initials ZAAQ, was found dead with multiple stab wounds. News of the student’s death came to light through a TikTok livestream.

ZAAQ was murdered on Monday, 9 February 2026, and his body was discovered on Friday, 13 February 2026, on the former Kampung Gajah site in Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency.

The following is the chronology of events, as reported by detikJabar:

Monday, 9 February

On Monday morning, the perpetrator YA travelled from Garut to Bandung to meet the victim. Police revealed that YA’s motive was resentment towards the victim, who had ended their friendship.

On that Monday, the victim still attended school and returned home with his friends afterwards.

After school, the victim was met by perpetrators YA and AP near the school grounds. They then continued their conversation at the former Kampung Gajah tourist site at approximately 3.30pm local time.

Their conversation escalated into an altercation, during which suspect YA struck ZAAQ on the head with a bottle found at the scene. The perpetrator then stabbed the victim eight times in the abdomen before leaving him still alive.

“After the victim fell but was still conscious, the suspect then plunged the knife he had brought eight times into the victim’s abdomen. The suspect then left the victim still alive,” said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko N Adi Putra.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family grew suspicious as ZAAQ had not returned home.

After killing the victim, suspect YA took ZAAQ’s mobile phone and jacket. Both suspects then returned to Garut. Suspect YA subsequently contacted the victim’s family using the stolen phone, falsely claiming that the victim had been kidnapped.

Tuesday, 10 February

On Tuesday, the victim’s aunt informed the school that ZAAQ was absent as he had not returned home since Monday. Before his body was found, the victim had been reported missing since Tuesday, as confirmed by the school.

“Tuesday evening. Tuesday evening, the child went missing. Until the news emerged and was posted in the group chat,” said SMPN 26 Bandung headteacher Titin Supriatin.

Friday, 13 February

The student’s body was found lying in shrubbery on the former Kampung Gajah site in Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency.

News of the discovery via a TikTok livestream reached the headteacher of SMPN 26 Bandung, who then coordinated with Sukajadi Police Station.
