Chronology of Febrie Adriansyah's Detention Transfer to KPK Detention Centre

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has explained the chronology of the detention transfer of former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building Detention Centre branch. According to KPK Deputy for Coordination and Supervision Ely Kusumastuti, the anti-corruption body had previously received a request for assistance with detention from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). “We received the request for detention assistance this morning,” Ely stated at the KPK complex in Jakarta on Friday evening. She confirmed that Adriansyah will be detained for an initial period of 20 days. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo added that the suspect will be placed in a standard cell. “A standard cell. Everyone is treated the same here,” he said. Earlier, Adriansyah had complied with a summons from the Kejagung’s Team 9, arriving at the Kejagung building at around 1 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. He was examined as a witness in a suspected money laundering case. Following the examination, Adriansyah claimed he was being criminalised. He arrived at the KPK detention centre at approximately 11:22 p.m. without wearing a detainee vest, after being officially named a suspect by the Attorney General’s Office.
