Chronic garbage mess in Mampang

Citizens of Mampang Prapatan, particularly Tegal Parang
subdistrict, South Jakarta, have been complaining about poor
garbage handling in the area, which has remained unsolved despite
all the reports to relevant authorities.

For quite some time, people in the subdistrict neighborhoods
have been messing their streets with garbage, which not only
creates unpleasant sights but also poses health hazards. The
littered household rubbish is only collected on certain days,
without any method being invented as a more serious attempt to
solve the problem.

At present, the Tegal Parang subdistrict administration has
not made maximum effort to overcome the chronic mess while the
local residents are at a loss. The rainy season has begun and the
area is prone to floods, which will make things even worse unless
properly tackled.
