Christmas goodwill at Plaza Senayan
JAKARTA (JP): Plaza Senayan plans to invite orphans and handicapped children in the city to celebrate Christmas Day with a special lunch and enjoy the festive season at the plaza every Monday beginning today.
"We care about their future and we want to share the happiness with these kids by inviting them here," Hashimoto, president of PT Senayan Trikarya Sempana, said here yesterday.
The plaza's marketing officer Riri A. Harjokusumo said yesterday that the children would come from different areas of Greater Jakarta until late this month.
Riri, however, did not disclose the number of children the plaza would accommodate or the kind of food or gifts -- if any -- the children would receive.
She only said that the plaza on Jl. Asia Afrika in Central Jakarta had chosen the North Pole atmosphere as the main theme for this year's Christmas celebration.
The two-year-old shopping center has been decorated with a giant snowman and an igloo house to attract visitors, she said. (04)
