Chinese university to have Bahasa class

BANDUNG, West Java: Bandung's Padjajaran University is providing the Shanghai International Studies University in China with Indonesian language classes.

During the signing of an agreement on Thursday Padjajaran University dean of languages Padjajaran Fatimah Djajasudarma said the cooperation topped off previous joint ventures between the two institutions, involving research, publications and student exchange programs.

Padjajaran would send lecturers every six months to the university and the curriculum would be based on that one used in Padjajaran, Fatimah said. --Antara
