Chinese Spokesperson States Putin's Visit Further Strengthens Bilateral Relations

Beijing (ANTARA) - Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin will exchange views on bilateral relations, cooperation across various sectors, and international and regional issues of mutual interest during Putin’s upcoming visit to China, a spokesperson stated on Monday, according to Xinhua news agency.

Putin will conduct a state visit to China from 19 to 20 May at the invitation of Xi. This will mark President Putin’s 25th visit to China, according to Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a routine press conference.

“Both parties will utilise this visit as an opportunity to continue driving the development of China-Russia relations to a higher level, which will provide greater stability and positive energy for the world,” Guo added.
