Chinese Satellite Imagery Reveals Presence of US Stealth Fighter Jets at Israeli Air Base
Chinese aerospace technology company MizarVision has released satellite imagery revealing the deployment of approximately 11 US Air Force F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jets at Ofda air base operated by the Israeli Air Force, according to reporting by Aljazeera on 27 February 2026.
The company’s publications, accompanied by satellite photographs, indicated that the US Air Force had deployed around 11 aircraft of this advanced fighter model. MizarVision’s satellite monitoring also indicated the possible deployment of Patriot air defence battery systems at the same base located in southern Israel.
This development occurs within the context of substantial US military deployment to the Middle East, with hundreds of military flights arriving at bases in Europe and the region in recent days, alongside active movements of aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean Sea.
In this context, the Times of Israel newspaper characterised the deployment of US fighter jets to Israeli bases for operational activities, rather than the customary joint training exercises, as extraordinarily rare.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (Kan) corroborated the Chinese visual documentation, confirming it aligned with information published on the previous day regarding the positioning of approximately 12 American fighter jets at one of the air bases in southern Israel.
