Chinese Robotics Company Offers Technology Transfer
Beijing (ANTARA) – AI² Robotics, a technology company based in Shenzhen, China, is exploring cooperation with local partners in Indonesia to develop its business in artificial general intelligence (AGI) and general-purpose robots powered by embodied intelligence. Areas of potential collaboration include technology deployment, research partnerships and application development across various sectors.
Kristine Mo, AI² Robotics’ vice-president for global markets and ecosystems, said Indonesia offered significant opportunities for cooperation in robotics. The company hopes to bring Chinese-made general-purpose robots powered by embodied intelligence to the Indonesian market through partnerships with local firms.
“We see substantial opportunities to work together to bring this technology to Indonesia,” Kristine said during a session at the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday (28 October).
Kristine outlined four pillars for developing the company’s business in Indonesia: technology transfer; research and education collaboration; the development of real-world robotic applications; and stronger local operations.
Through technology transfer, the company plans to introduce robots equipped with embodied-intelligence models, enabling them to understand human instructions, respond to their surroundings and complete tasks autonomously. The robots will also be equipped with specialised capabilities to carry out a range of tasks suited to the needs of the Indonesian market.
AI² Robotics said local partnerships would be needed to support deployment by helping maintain the robots, providing support services and developing applications tailored to local market requirements.
“We are very open to working with Indonesia and hope to bring these general-purpose robots here and achieve productive, beneficial results through our collaboration,” Kristine said.
