Chinese Robot Maker Unitree Opens IPO Orders Amid Strong Investor Interest
Chinese robot manufacturer Unitree Robotics on Monday opened the order period for its initial public offering (IPO) on the science and technology innovation board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, or STAR Market, following an offline preliminary pricing process that indicated strong investor interest. The Hangzhou-based company is offering 40.446434 million shares at 150.80 yuan per share, representing 10 percent of its post-offering share capital. The offering is expected to raise gross proceeds of approximately 6.10 billion yuan. According to its prospectus, Unitree primarily develops, manufactures, and sells high-performance general-purpose humanoid and quadrupedal robots, robot components, and embodied intelligence models. On its official website, Unitree describes itself as a civilian robotics company leading in the fields of core robot components, motion control, robot perception, and other comprehensive areas. The prospectus shows that from 2023 to 2025, Unitree sold 33,294 quadrupedal robots and 5,632 humanoid robots. Its humanoid robot shipments exceeded 5,500 units in 2025, excluding wheeled robots with two arms. China’s securities regulator approved Unitree’s IPO registration application through a decision dated 1 July.
