Chinese Premier Li Qiang Arrives in Jakarta for Three-Day State Visit
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Premier of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang was welcomed directly by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, upon his arrival at the Indonesian Air Force's Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Saturday afternoon (24/5/2025).
Li Qiang descended from an Air China aircraft and shook hands with Rosan Roeslani and the welcoming delegation. He then proceeded to a sedan bearing red diplomatic plates marked "China" under tight security.
Li Qiang is undertaking a three-day state visit from 24 to 26 May 2025. President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive the Chinese Premier at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Sunday (25/5/2025) at 10.00 Western Indonesian Time.
"Premier Li will be welcomed with a state ceremony at Merdeka Palace. Following that, President Prabowo and Premier Li Qiang will hold bilateral meetings together with delegations from both nations," said Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, in a written statement.
According to Yusuf, the meeting between President Prabowo and Chinese Premier Li Qiang will symbolise both nations' commitment to continue strengthening and enhancing bilateral relations, particularly across various strategic sectors.
To conclude the agenda at the Presidential Palace, the Head of State is scheduled to host Premier Li Qiang for an official luncheon.
