Premier of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang has arrived in Indonesia accompanied by 60 Chinese business leaders. Li Qiang is set to hold a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto, whilst the dozens of Chinese entrepreneurs will meet with their Indonesian counterparts.

This was disclosed by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Saturday, 24 May 2025.

Rosan expressed optimism that Premier Li Qiang's visit to Indonesia would have a significant impact on strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in expanding Chinese investment.

"He is here with his business delegation. There are approximately 60 business leaders present, and these are major entrepreneurs. Not only those who have already invested in Indonesia, but also those who have not yet invested in Indonesia," said Rosan.

A business meeting between the entrepreneurs will be held on Saturday evening by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). "This evening there will also be a dinner gathering organised by Kadin, which God willing will also be attended by Premier Li Qiang himself," he said.

The business meeting will bring together approximately 100 Chinese entrepreneurs with 100 Indonesian entrepreneurs. The forum is considered highly strategic for encouraging the formation of new, concrete agreements.

The visit also coincides with the 75th anniversary of Indonesia-China diplomatic relations. Rosan emphasised that the bilateral meeting between President Prabowo and Premier Li Qiang would focus on strengthening strategic cooperation across various sectors.
