Chinese PM Li Qiang Arrives in Indonesia for Three-Day State Visit
Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang arrived in Indonesia on Saturday (24/5) for a three-day state visit. PM Li was welcomed by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani after landing aboard a Boeing Air China aircraft at the Indonesian Air Force's Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at approximately 14:40 Western Indonesian Time.
PM Li was warmly greeted by Rosan, who was waiting at the foot of the aircraft stairs. Wearing a black suit with a light blue tie, Rosan shook hands with PM Li. Li Qiang's arrival was also marked by a marching parade and the playing of state anthems. He subsequently entered a vehicle to proceed to his accommodation.
President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive PM Li Qiang at the Presidential Palace in Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (25/5). The event is set to commence at 10:00 Western Indonesian Time.
"President Prabowo Subianto plans to receive the official visit of PRC Premier Li Qiang at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Sunday, 25 May 2025, at approximately 10:00 Western Indonesian Time," said Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, in a written statement on Saturday (24/5).
Li Qiang's delegation will conduct a state visit in Indonesia for three days until 26 May. An official ceremony will be held at the Merdeka Palace the following day, after which Prabowo and Li Qiang will hold meetings with delegations from both countries.
"This meeting represents both nations' commitment to strengthening and enhancing bilateral relations between Indonesia and the PRC, as well as reinforcing cooperation across various strategic fields," he said.
"Premier Li's official visit to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta will conclude with an official luncheon," Yusuf added.
