Chinese nationals deported from Sorong

SORONG, Papua: The Sorong immigration office has deported three Chinese nationals for misusing their stay permits, an official said here on Thursday.

They were deported through Jakarta on Wednesday, said Achmad Widodo, the head of the Sorong regency immigration office.

The three Chinese nationals were Yang Jia Jun, 29, a farmer, Huang He Zhong, 38, a fisherman, and Huang Mei Thong, 49, a seaman. According to Widodo, they were deported after they misused tourist visas to engage in trade. -- JP
