Chinese Investor Begins Construction of Apartment and Office Project in IKN
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chinese investor PT Star Bright International Investment, affiliated with Zhongda Jiancheng Engineering Management Group, officially began construction of a Rp1.25 trillion integrated development in Sub-WP 1B of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) on Wednesday (15/7). Standing on 15,501 square metres of land, the project will deliver a mixed-use area comprising apartments, restaurants, retail spaces, and offices. The residential units will offer one- to three-bedroom options with family rooms, supported by facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness centre, commercial areas, and green open spaces. The entire complex is designed with a sustainable development concept aligned with IKN’s building principles. ‘This location is very special. From here, we can see the state palace and the judicial and legislative complexes currently under construction. The entire area will be completed by 2028,’ said Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono. The project is the first to be realised by a foreign investor in IKN and is targeted for completion by the end of 2026. ‘I have experience seeing cities built from scratch. I am confident IKN will become a beautiful city because it is being built from the ground up. Our team from China is also interested in investing in the hospitality and tourism sectors,’ said PT Star Bright International Investment President Director Lu Keming. The event was also attended by prospective investors and a Chinese business delegation from various companies and organisations, including Wan Tong Group, China Minsheng Bank, Jiangsu Qi He Technology, Jiangsu Shu Jun Technology, Beijing Jin Jia Tong Neng Environmental Technology Group, Shanghai San Ding Technology, the Hainan Chamber of Commerce, Indonesia’s Chinese Bridge Training School, Xing Yao International Investment, and Liu Dian Group.
