The Chinese Embassy in Jakarta, in collaboration with the Voice of Istiqlal (Voist), held a socialisation event on Wednesday (15/7/2026) at the China Space in Istiqlal Mosque to promote new travel conveniences for Indonesian citizens. The initiative focused on introducing China’s visa-free transit policy, which allows Indonesian passport holders to stay in the country for up to 240 hours, or approximately 10 days, without a visa.

Voist Director Mulyono Lodji stated that the event was crucial given the growing interest among Indonesians in visiting China. He noted that the Chinese government’s policy extends this transit facility to several countries, including Indonesia, and the session also covered various measures China is taking to attract more international tourists.
