Chinese Company Wins Waste-to-Energy Power Project in Bogor Again
Danantara Indonesia announced on Friday 13 March 2026 the selection of its partner to manage the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) facility, or Waste-to-Power Generation (PSEL) facility, in Bogor Raya.
Following a comprehensive partner selection process involving several experienced international companies, Danantara Indonesia has appointed Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co., Ltd., a Chinese company, as the operator for the PSEL facility in Bogor Raya.
Previously, Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co., Ltd. also won the tender for the PSEL facility in Denpasar.
The selected operator is required to establish a consortium to promote technology transfer and closer collaboration with local government and Indonesian companies.
In line with Danantara Indonesia’s dual mandate, the Bogor Raya facility is being developed with strong operational reliability, responsible environmental management, and collaboration and technology transfer with local stakeholders.
Pandu Sjahrir, Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, stated that today’s signing represents an important next step in Danantara’s efforts to realise an integrated waste management solution based on good governance and the highest operational standards.
“The selected partner is expected to maintain consistent operational performance, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, and support engagement with surrounding communities,” Pandu said in a written statement on Friday 13 March 2026.
Additionally, Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co., Ltd. previously entered the supplier register as one of the providers or prospective partners for the PSEL project. Through its subsidiary, Weiming Equipment, the company signed a contract to supply incinerator equipment for the PSEL facility with Indonesian companies Shanghai Dingxin Investment or Qingshan Park.
