Chinese Company Hiksemi Strengthens Data Storage Infrastructure in Indonesia
The growth of AI adoption and the need for intensive computing across various industrial sectors are driving significant changes in performance and reliability standards for data storage. Entering its eighth year of operation in Indonesia since 2018, Hangzhou-based memory and storage solutions provider Hiksemi is continuing to expand the readiness of the national digital ecosystem through AI-based infrastructure and the strengthening of local components.
During the Digital Transformation Indonesia (DTI) Series 2026 exhibition at the Jakarta Convention Center, Hiksemi reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening data storage infrastructure in Indonesia. Technical Support representative Ricky Himawan stated that the company’s focus is now centred on providing a stable storage foundation that is adaptive to modern technological developments.
‘The trend of AI adoption demands much more robust storage capacity and performance. We are strengthening our range of workstation, server, and data centre solutions to ensure that industrial sectors in Indonesia have a foundation ready to handle high-volume data processing,’ Ricky said on the sidelines of the DTI Series 2026 exhibition on Tuesday.
Beyond meeting enterprise-scale needs, Hiksemi is also promoting data management efficiency for growing business segments and smart homes through a private cloud ecosystem. By integrating NAS devices and collaborating with the EasyViz security system line, data management from various connected devices—ranging from computers and IoT devices to surveillance cameras—can be stored centrally, securely, and efficiently without relying entirely on public cloud networks.
Hiksemi’s market development in Indonesia is also accompanied by a technology transfer strategy and the strengthening of the local supply chain. In cooperation with several domestic partners, the company runs assembly programmes, after-sales service maintenance, and joint research for software and firmware. This collaborative approach has successfully increased the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) for a number of Hiksemi product lines to a range of 40-70%, with local software development being a major contributor to the increase in domestic content value.
