Chinese Automaker Highlights Importance of Features and Technology in EVs

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Competition in the electric vehicle (EV) sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment is increasingly focused on offering added value beyond just driving range. Automakers are now racing to present vehicles that can meet family mobility needs through a combination of comfort, technology, and comprehensive safety features. Changan Indonesia sees this shift in consumer preference as the foundation for developing the Deepal S07, an electric SUV that uses a premium cabin concept, smart technology, and operational efficiency as its main selling points. “The needs of modern families continue to evolve. They need a vehicle that is safe, comfortable, efficient, and supported by technology that facilitates daily activities,” said Setiawan Surya in an official statement on Wednesday. “The Changan Deepal S07 is designed to answer these needs, positioning itself not just as an electric SUV, but as a family vehicle capable of meeting the increasingly diverse demands of modern mobility,” he added. In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite and Golden Shield Battery technology, and has achieved a five-star safety certification from Euro NCAP. The Deepal S07 also offers a driving range of up to 560 kilometres based on the NEDC standard. Its fast-charging capability allows the battery to be charged from 30 to 80 percent in approximately 35 minutes using DC Fast Charging. The driving experience is further enhanced by an Intelligent Cockpit and various digital connectivity features.
