Chinese Automaker Highlights Importance of Features and Technology in EVs

Jakarta (ANTARA) — Competition in the electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment is increasingly shifting towards value-added offerings beyond mere driving range.

Automakers are now racing to deliver vehicles capable of meeting family mobility needs through a combination of comfort, technology and more comprehensive safety features.

Changan Indonesia views this shift in consumer preferences as the basis for developing the Deepal S07, an electric SUV that carries the concept of a premium cabin, smart technology and usage efficiency as its main selling points.

“The needs of modern families continue to evolve. They require vehicles that are safe, comfortable and efficient, supported by technology that makes daily activities easier,” said Setiawan Surya in an official statement on Wednesday.

“We present the Changan Deepal S07 as an electric SUV that answers those needs, while also delivering a smarter and higher-quality mobility experience for Indonesian families,” he continued.

The concept is aimed at enhancing passenger comfort, whether for daily mobility or long-distance journeys.

On the safety front, the vehicle is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Golden Shield Battery technology, and has obtained a five-star safety certification from Euro NCAP.

The Deepal S07 also offers a driving range of up to 560 kilometres based on the NEDC standard. Its fast-charging capability via DC Fast Charging can replenish the battery from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in approximately 35 minutes.

In addition, the Intelligent Cockpit and various digital connectivity features serve as complements that allow drivers to access vehicle functions more conveniently.

Through this combination of cabin comfort, technology, safety and operational efficiency, the Deepal S07 seeks to position itself not merely as an electric SUV, but as a family vehicle capable of meeting the increasingly diverse demands of modern mobility.
