Chinese and Russian Navies to Continue Expanding Joint Exercises
The Chinese Ministry of Defence stated on Sunday that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy and the Russian Navy will continue to expand the scale of their joint exercises. According to an official statement from the ministry, the two countries have completed a session of exercises in open waters on Saturday (11/7). The series of annual joint military exercises, titled ‘Naval Interaction-2026’, took place in the Yellow Sea from 6 to 13 July. ‘Both parties will continue to expand the coverage and scope of the joint exercises based on the principles of openness, transparency, and mutual trust,’ the official statement read. The Chinese Ministry of Defence said the joint exercises aim to enhance the contribution of both countries to maintaining global peace and stability.
