China's Spring Festival Cultural and Tourism Campaign
China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has launched a month-long cultural and tourism campaign ahead of the Spring Festival, showcasing a wide range of activities and promotional measures to better meet the public's needs.
The campaign features approximately 30,000 events held across the country, offering seasonal cultural and tourism products and events focused on traditional New Year customs, performances, and exhibitions.
Activities have been taking place in numerous cities and provinces. In Foshan, Guangdong Province in southern China, the Yingge art troupe performed in a park in Gaoming District. In Luoyang, Henan Province in central China, tourists visited a themed lantern exhibition at the city's botanical garden.
Temple courtyards in Shangqiu, also in Henan Province, hosted lantern exhibitions, Sichuan mask dance performances, and fireworks celebrations. In Xiangyang, Hubei Province in central China, crowds gathered to watch art performances, whilst in Tangshan, Hebei Province in northern China, artists performed on stage at the Hetou heritage area.
The nationwide campaign represents a significant effort by China's cultural authorities to promote domestic tourism and preserve traditional cultural practices during one of the country's most important festive periods.
