Beijing - China’s outbound direct investment (ODI) across all industries reached 429.42 billion yuan (1 yuan = Rp2,615), or approximately $62.88 billion (1 USD = Rp17,743), in the first four months of 2026, representing a 3.9% year-on-year increase. China’s Ministry of Commerce and State Administration of Foreign Exchange stated that domestic investors made non-financial direct investments in 5,231 overseas companies across 142 countries and regions, totaling 315.74 billion yuan, a 13.9% year-on-year decline. This came as actual FDI utilization fell 10.3% year-on-year to 287.69 billion yuan in the same period.
