China's Initiative to Invite US Youth for Study Exchanges Proceeds Well
Beijing (ANTARA) - The initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2023 to invite 50,000 young people from the United States (US) to China for exchange and study programmes over the next five years from that year has been implemented effectively, according to a report from a think tank on Saturday (25/4). By early December 2025, more than 42,000 US youths had arrived in China under this initiative, according to the report titled “Study in China: Contributing to the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity”. These participants represent more than 500 schools and institutions across all 50 US states and Washington DC, with travel routes covering 31 provincial-level regions as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the Macao SAR, according to the report. The report was released by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank under the Xinhua News Agency of China.
