China's Ideas and Actions Welcomed by International Community

Beijing (ANTARA) - China’s ideas and actions are increasingly receiving support from the international community, with the Global Governance Initiative (GGI) being backed by nearly 160 countries and international organisations, according to a white paper released by China’s State Council Information Office (SCIO) on Wednesday (17/6).

The reason behind this achievement lies in the fact that China understands how to meet the demands of the era and shape current trends, according to the white paper titled “More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China’s Principles, Proposals and Actions.”

A multipolar world that is equal and orderly, alongside economic globalisation that is mutually beneficial and inclusive, represents the trend of the times, and true multilateralism is the only way forward, the white paper stated.

The white paper emphasised that the GGI, although rooted in China, brings benefits to the world.

China has proposed a series of new ideas and proposals that uphold shared values and collective action, responding to the shared aspirations of the international community and addressing the most pressing issues in global governance.

By upholding a rich diplomatic tradition and drawing strength from noble traditional culture, China continues to move forward alongside the development of the era while leading it, whilst remaining committed to action, the white paper indicated.

China has adopted a series of initiatives to face various global risks and challenges, continuously enriching global governance practices.

In providing systematic solutions, China’s four main global initiatives run in parallel, focusing on different domains and forming a complete framework of action that promotes prosperity through development, ensures stability through security, enhances mutual trust through inter-civilisation exchanges, and pursues justice through governance, the white paper explained.

By proposing the GGI along with a series of new ideas and approaches, China has deepened its understanding of the laws governing the development of the human community, breaking away from the obsolete “core-periphery” framework of the old international order, moving beyond the erroneous logic that “power determines truth,” abandoning the “winner takes all” mentality of zero-sum concepts, and driving the progress of human political civilisation, the white paper added.
