Beijing (ANTARA) - The State Council Information Office of China on Thursday released a report stating that China plans to comprehensively advance the protection of economic, social, and cultural rights across all fronts over the next five years. The National Human Rights Action Plan of China (2026-2030), released at the opening of the Forum on Global Human Rights Governance 2026, outlines China’s efforts to protect human rights in the coming five years. The plan emphasises the right to an adequate standard of living through various efforts, such as continuing to consolidate and expand the achievements made in poverty alleviation. It stresses the right to work, calling for the continued promotion of an employment-first strategy and the improvement of the quality of public employment services. Meanwhile, human rights related to social security, property, health, education, and culture are also highlighted in the report.
