China's Consumer Inflation Continues Moderate Recovery
Beijing - China’s consumer inflation continued its moderate recovery in April 2026, supported by strong spring travel demand and rising energy prices. This condition signals that domestic demand continues to increase and the broader economic recovery remains on the right track. China’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), one of the main inflation indicators, rose 1.2 percent year-on-year in April and increased by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday (11/5).
