China Urges Its Citizens to Leave Israel as Quickly as Possible, What's Happening?

The Chinese government has urged its citizens to leave Israel. The situation in Israel is said to be worsening.

According to Al-Jazeera on Tuesday (24/3/2026), the Chinese government has asked its citizens residing in Israel to stop risking their safety. They are also requested to leave Israel immediately.

“Evacuate or return to China as soon as possible,” stated the Chinese Embassy in Israel.

The Chinese state news agency, Xinhua, quoted the embassy’s statement saying that the Chinese government is arranging another evacuation mission for its citizens via the Taba border with Egypt.

The Chinese government also described the situation in Israel as increasingly deteriorating due to the heightened intensity and frequency of missile and drone attacks from Iran.

“The scope, frequency, and intensity of missile and drone attacks against Israel are increasing, leading to rising casualties and property damage, as well as repeated incidents where people are injured due to failing to reach bomb shelters in time,” wrote Xinhua, quoting the embassy’s statement.

The embassy also reminded its citizens still in Israel “to stay away from airports, ports, power plants, oil refineries, and other important infrastructure facilities, as well as sensitive military sites”.
