China to Expand Imports of Advanced Tech Equipment in 2026-2030

China will expand imports of advanced technological equipment, key components, energy resources, and select high-quality agricultural products while diversifying the countries of origin during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), a senior customs official said on Wednesday. Sun Meijun, head of the General Administration of Customs of China, made the remarks at a press conference organised by the State Council Information Office. Efforts will be made to promote better coordination between imports and exports, negotiate and sign more trade cooperation documents, and facilitate the entry of high-quality global goods into the Chinese market. This is being done to share China’s vast market opportunities with the world while providing more diverse choices for Chinese consumers, the official said.
