Beijing (ANTARA) - Chinese authorities will refine the public supervision system for the export of strategic minerals and dual-use goods, the Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday. The ministry issued a notice on further optimising the handling of violation reports in the export control of strategic minerals and dual-use items. Any organisation or individual can report suspected violations, including illegal technology transfers through trade, licensing, investment, exchanges, gifts, exhibitions, testing, training, and joint development, the ministry stated. Chinese authorities said rewards may be given for verified reports of violations, while false or malicious reports will be subject to sanctions. These measures aim to leverage public oversight and curb illegal activities in the export of strategic minerals and dual-use goods. The rules will take effect on 1 July.
