China reiterates its opposition to hegemonism and power politics

Beijing (ANTARA) - The Government Work Report submitted to the national legislature for consideration on Thursday (5 March) states clearly its opposition to hegemonism and power politics, and upholds justice and international equality.

In the report, the Chinese government stresses that it remains committed to an independent foreign policy that prioritises peace and peaceful development, and will expand its network of global partnerships, as reported by Xinhua.

The report also notes that China is ready to work with all members of the international community to promote a multipolar, equal and orderly world and to promote globally beneficial and inclusive globalisation, while implementing the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilisation Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative.

China will also actively participate in reform and development of the global governance system, and make the international order more just and equitable.

“By doing so, we will work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind and create a bright future of peace and development for our world,” the report says.
