China provides US$200,000 aid for victims of conflict in Iran
Beijing — China’s Red Crescent Society has provided emergency humanitarian assistance valued at US$200,000 (approximately Rp3.3 billion) to the Iranian Red Crescent Society for distribution to victims of conflict, including primary school students affected by missile attacks.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun stated on Friday (13 March) that China extends its condolences, particularly to Iranian students who died as a result of missile strikes, and expresses sincere sympathy to their families.
Guo emphasised that China condemns all forms of indiscriminate attacks against civilians and non-military targets.
He continued that targeting schools and harming children constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and exceeds the bounds of morality and human conscience.
“China is willing to continue providing the necessary support to Iran in a humanitarian spirit to help the Iranian people overcome various difficulties,” said Guo.
